Storage and use of personal information
GSDRC is committed to protecting your privacy. If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please e-mail enquiries@gsdrc.org
When you visit the GSDRC website, we use Google Analytics to record non-personally-identifiable information which is reported in aggregate to monitor website usage and improve our website services. We do not have access to any personally-identifying information.
It is not necessary to provide us with any personal data to use the GSDRC website. When you request to receive information, publications or newsletters, you will need to provide a limited amount of information that identifies you personally so that we can send the information to you. If you have sent us any personal information, we may use it in connection to provide services provided to you, as specified by you, and to contact you in the future unless or until such a time that you tell us that you do not wish us to do so.
We will not share your personal information with any other parties. If you wish to update your details, please contact enquiries@gsdrc.org.
Use of cookies
We want to ensure that the GSDRC website and services are easy to use and reliable. This sometimes involves placing information on your computer in the form of small data files known as cookies. These files cannot be used to identify you personally. These pieces of information are used to improve our services for you by, for example:
- enabling the website to recognise your device so you don’t have to give the same information several times during one task
- measuring how many people are using our sites, so they can be made easier to use and there’s enough capacity to ensure they are fast
How you can control cookies
You can control and/or delete cookies as you wish – for details, see AboutCookies.org. You can delete all the cookies already on your computer and you can set most browsers to block them being placed. But if you do this, you may have to manually adjust some preferences every time you visit the site.
What we use cookies for
Several cookies are set by our web servers to ensure that your session is maintained for the duration of your visit (until you close your web browser), to help the site remember your settings and preferences (so you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to us) and to help us to diagnose and fix problems with specific pages.
We use cookies set by Google Analytics which allow us to measure visitor numbers and website usage. These cookies do not identify you personally but simply assist the GSDRC with trends of web pages being read and influencing new content and improved visitor usability. (The particular cookies used for this are: _utma, _utmb, _utmc, _utmv and_utmz.) We also use session cookies CFID and CFTOKEN which record if administrators of the site are logged in.
For further details on the cookies set by Google Analytics, please refer to the Google Code website.

You should not enter information on behalf of another person or about any other person. Your name and email address will be used only for delivering to you the services to which you have subscribed, for sending information about these services, for sending you password reminders and for validating security. They will not be provided to any third parties without your express consent.
If you are sharing your email address with other people, GSDRC cannot protect any information you provide against access by the other users of your email address, nor can GSDRC prevent other users of your email address changing your subscription details.
